About Model

My name is Hibist, and I am a fashion and commercial model from Ethiopia. Fashion, for me, is not just about clothes or the camera it is how I express myself, my culture, and my emotions. Modeling became part of my journey as I learned to believe in myself, grow through discomfort, and turn challenges into strength. I want to compete in Voguir Model of the Year because my path has been full of rejection. I have been turned down by many agencies, and at times it made me question myself. But instead of stopping, I chose hope. I chose to keep working on myself, learning, improving, and taking every chance I could get. This competition represents more than a title to me. It is proof that rejection is not the end, and that consistency, self-belief, and courage matter. I want to show that even when doors close, staying hopeful and trusting your journey can lead you exactly where you belong.
